At Nyah District Primary School we use School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) to assist us to create and maintain a positive and safe environment where all students can thrive with their social, emotional, and academic learning.
SWPBS is a whole-school approach to help support, define, teach and reinforce positive behaviours of all students. Just like academic skills, social skills need to be practised regularly and acknowledged frequently to ensure mastery and sustained use.
At NDPS we teach our behavioural expectations, as outlined in our Matrix, and reward students with tokens, paired with verbal acknowledgement for following them.
