Nyah District Primary School was formed in 1997 as a result of the amalgamation between Nyah West Primary School and Nyah Primary School (closed 1996).  The school is situated in the township of Nyah West which is approximately 30 kilometres north of Swan Hill in the Loddon Mallee region.

The school has a current enrolment of 47 students, offering a bus service to the wider area of the local community.  Nyah District has a strong community connection, with our motto being "Together we Learn".  The school enjoys a strong community identity and sense of ownership.  It features high parental involvement, with a commitment to the best educational programs and appropriately resourced facilities.
